Charmaine Kirkland Allesandro
(Claire) graduated from Chapelle in 1971. (Student Council President
and Miss Chapelle 1971). Charmaine was a Genesian 1968-1971. In her freshman
year she received the Best Supporting Actress Geni for her role as Rosemary
in Picnic. She later received Best Actress for her portrayal
as Mrs. Frank in the Diary of Anne Frank. Charmaine also
received the Geni for Best All Around Female. She played Corey in
Barefoot in the Park and the Wicked Witch of the West in
Wizard of Oz. Other shows she appeared in were A Touch of
Marble, Meet me in St. Louis, Tiger House,
Montage of Time, Teahouse of the August Moon,
Children’s Hour, and Julius Caesar.
Charmaine is a registered nurse with a Masters Degree in Health
Administration and is currently employed by Children’s Hospital as the
Executive Director of the Greater New Orleans Immunization Network. She has
been married to her husband Phil for 29 years and has three sons, Jason,
Justin and Jeffrey.
Lloyd J. Arbo, Jr. (Lenny Ganz)
graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1971. Lloyd was in the
Genesian Players from 1969 to 1971. The shows he appeared in were
Montage of Time, The Wizard of OZ, Dracula, The
Diary of Anne Frank and Julius Caesar. Lloyd attended Tulane
University. He is married to Ginny and has four children, Christy, Allyson,
Julie and Lloyd III who now attends Rummel.
Lori Andignac Borne
(Cassie) graduated from Archbishop Chapelle High School in 1979. Lori
was an active Genesian Player from 1976 to 1979. The Genesian productions
that Lori performed in are Plaza Suite, Bicentennial Review,
(a Mr. G. original script) Picnic (Madge) and she played
Deanie in Splendor in the Grass. Lori graduated from Loyola
University in 1984 with a Psychology Degree. In 1990, she received her
Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Lori is presently employed
with LSU Medical Center as a Clinical Therapist. Lori resides in Metairie
and is married to Phil and has two children, Brad and Emily. “Many thanks to
Mr. G for giving me the opportunity to work with him again. This has brought
back many good memories!”
Randy Boudreaux (Officer Welch)
Randy graduated from Archbishop Rummel in 2003. Randy was in the Genesian
Players from 1999 to 2003, and enjoyed every “inspirational” speech from the
director. Some of the shows he appeared in for the Players were You’re
a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Lost in Yonkers, The Wizard of Oz,
The Odd Couple, and A Funny Thing Happened on the
Way to the Forum. Randy is currently enrolled at Louisiana State
University, working towards a degree in Mass Communications. He works at the
LSU campus television station, working as both assistant sports director and
sports anchor/reporter. Randy wants a career in the communication field.
Natalie Boyd (Claire Ganz) Natalie
was a graduate of the 2003 class at Dominican High School. A two year member
of the Genesians, Natalie appeared in: 4 in 1,(a presentation
of four one-act plays, Natalie starred in Sorry, Wrong Number),
Teahouse of the August Moon, The Wizard of Oz, and
Forum, and the Christmas shows. This past year, Natalie was a
theatre student at Northwestern State, and in the fall she will be
continuing her theatrical studies at UNO. Although not yet married, Natalie
has been enjoying the company of Vincent Fabra, a fellow alum.
Michael Camnetar
(Ken Gorman) A1992 graduate, Mike is in his 13th season with the
Genesian Players. Mike is Mr. G’s number one assistant as Technical Director
for the Players. Tonight’s set is another in his fine line of sets. Mike
received two Geni’s, one for Best Male Technician and one for All-Around
Male Genesian. As a student, Mike appeared in Detective Story,
Montage of Time, Odd Couple, Red Ryder, and
Rumors. Mike attended UNO. He dedicates this performance to his
wife, Sara, and his children, Julia and Justin.
Kathryn Claverie (Cookie) is
excited to be back on the Genesian stage. She is an alumnae of Chapelle H.S.
(‘95) and The University of Mississippi (2000), where she earned degrees in
both Music Education and Theatre. As a Genesian, she received awards for the
roles of Aunt Sophia in Tiger House, Golde in Fiddler on
the Roof, Aunt Eller in Oklahoma, and Edith Frank in
The Diary of Anne Frank. Favorite roles at Ole Miss include
One of the Three Witches in Macbeth, Sarah Jane Moore in Assassins,
and Antonia in Man of La Mancha. Kathryn is currently
the Choir and Drama Director at Archbishop Chapelle High School.
Vincent Fabra (Ken Gorman) Vincent
is the “baby” of the bunch, having graduated this past year from Archbishop
Rummel High School. He was in the Genesian Players for the seasons of
2002-2004. He appeared in The Odd Couple, Forum,
Picnic, and was a participant in the annual Christmas Shows. Vincent
will attend the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall. He is
partner-less, but as you have already read he and Natalie Boyd have a
“thing.”
Ryan F. Garrity (Welch/Assistant
Director) Ryan graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 2001. He
was a member of the Genesian Players from 1998-2001, and received a Geni in
2001 for his work on and off stage. As a member of the Genesian Players,
Ryan appeared in Meet Me in St. Louis, Our Town, The
Last Night of Ballyhoo, Circle, and Broadway Bound.
He also worked backstage on Rumors, Mousetrap, You're A
Good Man Charlie Brown, and All The Way Home. Ryan is
a senior British History major at The University of New Orleans where he is
also employed as a computer consultant.
John Giardina (Ernie Cusack) was
an active Genesian from 1988 to 1990. He received two Best Supporting Actor
Genis for Barefoot in the Park and Hayfever,
Best Male Technician for his prop work on Little Shop of Horrors
and was nominated for Best Actor for his role in View from the Bridge.
Other plays included Detective Story and Montage of Time
(a revival of a Mr. G original). John attended U.N.O. and currently is
part-owner of John’s Tuxedos. He married his biggest fan, Renee Calcaterra
and together they have three girls: Courtney, Brittney, and Lynsey.
Chris Gordy (Ernie) Chris graduated
from Rummel High School in 2001. Chris was in the Genesian Players for two
years, but stayed involved by helping with three Geni Nights and four
Genesian Christmas Shows. Chris and Mike Tramontin wrote and directed the
Genesian Christmas Show in 2001. Some of the shows he appeared in were
Circle, (another Mr. G. original) All The Way Home,
and Broadway Bound. Chris is currently a store manager
at Blockbuster, and is moving to New York in August to pursue a career in
acting & comedy. He thanks everyone who has come back to do the alumni
production, as well as the staff of chrisgordy.com.
Dayna Johnson (Cookie). Dayna, a
2003 Chapelle graduate, was a member of the Genesian Players for three years
from 2000 to 2003. She appeared in such shows as All the Way Home,
Broadway Bound, Lost In Yonkers, The Wizard of Oz,
Teahouse of the August Moon, and The Odd Couple.
She won the Best Supporting Actress Geni in 2002, for her role as Grandma in
Lost In Yonkers. Dayna is currently studying Theater and
Communications at LSU. She thanks both her family and Mr. G. for the
opportunity to be on the Genesian Stage once again.
Kasey Mathews (Chris Gormon/Pudney)
This past May, Kasey graduated from Chapelle High School and will be
attending LSU in the fall. She has been a Genesian for the past three years
and is excited to be back so soon. At Geni Nite 41, Kasey received the Most
Versatile Geni and the Best Supporting Actress Geni for her role as Rosemary
in Picnic. Other plays she has appeared in are The
Wizard of Oz, Lend Me a Tenor, and Mousetrap.
One of her favorite Genesian memories is slapping Hal Carter across the face
in Picnic!
Stephanie Morris (Chris Gorman/Pudney)
is a Chapelle graduate in the class of 1999. She performed on the Genesian
stage as Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Jan in
Grease, Chris in Rumors, and Ester in
Meet me in St. Louis and was Awarded Best Supporting Actress for
this role. She then went on to study at Mississippi College where she
performed in their theatre program and received her degree in Communication
Process and minored in Psychology. She also studied theatre at Birkbeck
College in London. Steph is currently employed with Sprint and is thrilled
to be back on the stage.
Robert Roso
(Glenn Cooper) Bitten by the drama bug in his sophomore year in
George Kaufman’s one-act play The Still Alarm, Bob has a
lifelong association with the Genesian Players. “I am grateful that I was
lucky enough to play a role in almost every Genesian production until I
graduated in 1972.” As a contestant in local and state drama festivals, Bob
was named to many All Star Casts every year he participated in the
contests. Barefoot in the Park, Montage of Time, The
Diary of Anne Frank, Julius Caesar, Zoo Story, Death of
a Salesman, The Odd Couple, and The Lark
created memories that have truly lasted a lifetime and played a large role
in my choice to become an English teacher. “Every time I begin a lesson, I
feel St. Genesius is by my side.”
Jimmy Rumney
(Glenn Cooper) Jimmy graduated from Rummel in 2003. In his senior
year, he won a Best Supporting Actor Geni for his comedic performance as
Vinnie in the Odd Couple. Jimmy also appeared in
Teahouse of the August Moon, The Wizard of Oz and
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He is currently
attending LSU and plans to pursue a career in the music industry. Aside
from acting, Jimmy also enjoys reading, archery and searching for Bobby
Fisher.
Jessica Salamin
(Cassie Cooper) Jessica graduated in 2003 from Chapelle High School.
Jessica was in the Genesian Players from 2001-2003. She was the recipient of
the Best Supporting Actress Geni for The Odd Couple in 2003.
Some of the shows she appeared in for the Players were, Teahouse of
the August Moon, Lost in Yonkers, The Wizard of Oz, The
Odd Couple, and A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum.
Jessica is currently attending UNO and majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine,
Psychology, Biology, and Drama . . . she has no idea what she will be when
she grows up.
Michael
Tramontin
(Lenny Ganz) Michael graduated in 2003 and was a member of the
Genesians from 1999-2003. He was the recipient of the Best Actor Geni in
2001 for his sensitive performance in Broadway Bound, and Best
Actor Geni in 2002 for his portrayal of Sakini, a conniving Japanese
villager, in Teahouse of the August Moon,
and he also received the Most Versatile Award in 2002 and 2003. You may
recognize Michael from other plays such as: You’re a Good Man Charlie
Brown, Circle, All the Way Home, Broadway Bound,
The Diary of Adam and Eve, The Odd Couple, and A Funny Thing
Happened on the Way to the Forum. Michael is currently
attending AMDA, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, in New York City,
and plans to pursue a career in the Performing Arts. |
