Cast Profiles

 
  CHERIE ALTOBELLO (Patty Simcox/Lulu) A Sophomore at Mount Carmel Academy, Cherie is a member of the Jayettes and a graduate of Ursuline Grammar. Cherie performed in THREE WEE KINGS, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, THE VELVETEEN RABBIT, and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR COAT. Cherie aspires to be a professional actress.

SCOTT ARROYO (Kenickie) Scott is a four year member of the Genesian Players. He has recently been seen on the Genesian stage as Oscar in ODD COUPLE. Audiences have seen Scott in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, A CHORUS LINE, BABES TN ARMS, MONTAGE OF TIME, WHEN'RE YOU COMIN' BACK, RED RYDER and ODD COUPLE. His last Genesian assignment was Student Director for PICNIC. Scott's ambition is to be an animator for Disney. Scott attended St. Benilde Grade School and Christian Brothers School.

EDDIE CHARBONNET (Greaser) A Rummel Junior, Eddie is active in the school's library club, Student Council, and Key Club. Eddie has been part of the tech crew for ODD COUPLE, MONTAGE OF TIME and other Genesian produc­tions. Boy Scout Troop 263 is Eddie's troop in Harahan. This is his Genesian debut.  

BROOKE DEYKIN (Rydell Student) Brooke has had twelve years of dance experience and was active at St. Benilde, her grade school. Brooke played on St. Benilde's volleyball, basketball, and indoor ball teams. In her last year at St. Benilde, Brooke served as secretary of the Student Council. Brooke is a freshman at Mount Carmel Academy.

 

BRANDY EDWARDS (Marty) This Mercy Academy Senior has been busy in theatrical activity since she was a tot. Brandy's credits include working at LePetit, Rivertown Repertory, Jefferson Community theatre, Tulane Summer Lyric, and more. Brandy has worked on television in commercials and programs of community interest. Brandy was awarded the Big Easy Award for her performance as Dorothy in LePetit's WIZARD OF OZ. GREASE is her Genesian debut.

JAMIE FERGUSON (Jan) A graduate of Word of Faith Grade School, Jamie is presently enrolled as a Sophomore at Mount Carmel Academy. Jamie made her debut for the PLAYERS in PICNIC last spring. Jamie has always been interested in acting. At Mount Carmel she produces a show for WMCA, a closed circuit on campus station. Jamie has performed in THE LITTLE RASCALS, THE CREATION, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER. Jamie is active on MCA's volleyball and baseball teams.

MARC FOUCHI (Doody / Eugene) Marc joined the Rummel student body in his eighth grade year. This Sopho­more has been in the Raider Band for two years and played for the past Genesian musicals as a keyboardist. Marc has also performed with the Genesians when the group played for local grammar schools. Marc made his on-stage Gene­sian debut in MONTAGE OF TIME.
 
JESSICA ANNE GUAJARDO (Patty Simcox and Lulu) A Freshman at Archbishop Chapelle High School, Jessica made her debut at the age of four in the Genesian Players production of THE WIZARD OF Oz. Jessica performed locally and toured briefly for several years with Delta Festival's NUTCRACKER during the Christmas season. Al St.13enilde School, Jessica was President of the Eighth Grade and actively involved in Volleyball, basketball, and base­ball. Jessica is a member of the Gifted and Talented Program and the Advanced Placement Program at her school.

RACHEL GUAJARDO (Rizzo) A Chapelle Junior, Rachel made her Genesian debut while a first grade student at St. Benilde. Since then, Rachel has made several other appearances on the PLAYERS stage. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, DETECTIVE STORY, WHEN'RE YOU COMIN' BACK, RED RYDER and PICNIC are some of her Genesian shows. She has performed in the annual NUTCRACKER with Delta Festival. President of the Sophomore class at Chapelle and a member of the Student Council, Mu Alpha Theta, City Honor Chorus, Advanced Placement, and participation in the Honors Program at Chapelle keep her busy when she isn't involved with the Chapellettes. Rachel was named to WHO'S WHO AMONG AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS 1991, and was named a Duke University Scholar.

J.J. GUIDRY (Roger) J.J. has been active in the Genesian Players for four years. This fall J.J. will major in Aeronautical Engineering at Nicholls State. J.J. has performed or been on the tech staff of the Genesian Players productions of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, COMPULSION, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, AND HATFUL OF RAIN. On other campuses, J.J. has performed in A CHORUS LINE AND PIPPIN.

RACHEL HARRIS (Sandy) Rachel is a seventeen year old Senior at Dominican. Her Genesian debut was in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, however, she has also appeared in HAY FEVER, WHEN'RE YOU COMIN' BACK, RED RYDER?, PICNIC and was Student Director for A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE. Other non-Rummel shows for Rachel include, THE MUSIC MAN, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, ANNIE, and CHICAGO. A graduate of Ursuline Academy's grade school, Rachel is a member of the Dominican Debs Dance Team, and attends classes at the Off Broadway Dance Studio.

JODI HART (Miss Lynch) A Mount Carmel Junior, Jodi makes her Genesian debut in GREASE. Her seven years of dance training have served her well as a member of the Mount Carmel dance team, the Carmelettes.
 
BETSY HIRLING (Rydell Student) a graduate of St. Catherine Grade School, Betsy makes her Genesian debut in GREASE. A dance student for six years, Betsy was also a cheerleader at St. Catherine. As an Archbishop Chapelle Freshman, Betsy is looking forward to working with the Genesian throughout her high school career.  

KRYSTAL KUEBLER (Frenchy) Krystal, a Mount Carmel Academy Junior, is a member of Carmel's drama club, student council, indoor ball team, and chorus. While a student at St. Benilde Grade School, Krystal performed in PETER PAN, LITTLEST ANGEL, BABES IN TOYLAND. Her Genesian debut in GREASE is preceded by her debut in Mount Carmel's production of A CHORUS LINE. Krystal has been named to WHO'S WHO IN AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Krystal's ambition is to study law at a local university.  

BRIAN LANDRY (Sonny) A Senior at Rummel, Brian is making his Genesian debut in this show. Brian has, however, been in GREASE at St. Christopher's Parish. Brian is a graduate of St. Christopher and has actively participated in sports, especially soccer, for ten years.

ANTHONY LEMOINE (Vince Fontaine, Greaser) As well as a member of the GENESIAN PLAYERS, Tony is also involved in the Rummel Student Council and Honors Program. Genesian audiences have seen Tony in THE DETEC­TIVE STORY, PICNIC and WHEN'RE YOU COMIN' BACK, RED RYDER? A graduate of St. Benilde Grade School, Tony enjoys music and cycling.

TERRY MARKS (Danny) Terry is making his Genesian debut as "Danny." Previously he performed the same role for St. Christopher’s C.Y.O. Terry is a Senior at Rummel, and sells snow balls for his summer job. His interests include basketball, a night out on the town, tennis, a night out on the town, reading, and a night out on the town.  

MATTHEW MORGAN (Johnny Casino/ Rydell Student) Matthew is an avid music lover. Among his interests is a desire to start his own band. Matt graduated from St. Benilde grade school and is presently a Rummel Sophomore. Matthew made his Genesian debut in MONTAGE OF TIME and worked props for ODD COUPLE.

AYMEE O'SHELLO (Rydell Student) Aymee is a Mount Carmel Senior who graduated from St. Benilde Grade School. At St. Benilde she performed in PETER PAN. This summer Aymee worked as a summer camp counselor. Aymee's favorite hobby is dancing.

SAL RANDAZZO (Teen Angel) A four year Genesian member, Sal is a veteran to performing on the Genesian stage. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, A MONTAGE OF TIME, are all credits that he includes along with GREASE. Sal has worked on many tech crews for Genesian shows. Sal's plans include working in theatre at Southeastern University of Louisiana.

PATRICK RICKERFOR (Doody/Eugene) A Junior at Rummel, Patrick began his Genesian stage career by playing Billy in COMPULSION. He has appeared in the Genesian Productions LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, HAY FEVER, and ODD COUPLE and was Prop Master for Red Ryder.

CLAIRE SANDERSON (Rydell Student) A recent graduate of St Angela Merici, Claire, is a Freshman at Dominican and a first time Genesian Player performer. At St. Angela, Claire performed in WIZARD OF OZ, SOUND OF MUSIC, THE KING AND I, OKLAHOMA, MAME, GEORGE M., AND SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.
 
KURT SANDERSON (Prop Master/Greaser) Kurt is a St. Louis King of France graduate and a first year Genesian Player. Kurt's Genesian debut was as the paperboy in PICNIC. This Rummel Sophomore has participated on Rummel's track and soccer teams. Kurt has a deep interest in performing and hopes to continue with the Genesian Players.

JANINE VINET (Cha-Cha/Student) Janine hails from Our Lady of Divine Providence and is presently a Junior at Dominican High School. Janine is active at Dominican in the Student Council and at DeLaSalle in their dance team. Janine has studied dance for several years and has been named Dance Star of UDA.

KATE ZIBIUCH (Student Director/Rydell Student) Kate is a graduate of St. Ann Grade School and has participated in the Genesian Production MONTAGE OF TIME. Kate is a student at Dominican High School and has performed in BABES IN TOYLAND at the Jefferson Community Players.
