Cast Profiles

Ryan Bonfanti (The Snake - The Diaries of Adam & Eve) is a sophomore at Archbishop Rummel. He is a writer for the Raiders’ Digest, a member of the Video Game Club, and a Raider Ambassador. This is Ryan’s first time in a Genesian production.

Emily Borne (Willie - This Property is Condemned) is a freshman at Archbishop Chapelle High School and is ecstatic to be on the Genesian stage once again! Last fall, Emily played numerous background characters in the production Our Town. She is involved in student council, choir, Jr. Beta club, and showstoppers at Chapelle. She’d like to thank her family, friends, and everyone who helped make this production possible!

Emily Brauninger (Natalia - A Marriage Proposal) Emily has been involved in 13 Genesian productions. She is a five year Genesian and wishes she had many more. Theatre has always been a huge part of her life. She thanks Keith Claverie for doing a wonderful job directing and keeping the Genesians together. RAA 5/5/21-3/5/08 I love you Grandpa.

Jessie Dupuy (Eve - The Diaries of Adam & Eve) Jessie is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle and is enjoying her 3rd year as a Genesian. You might recognize her as LaLa in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Emily in Our Town or as Kitty in Charley’s Aunt. Jessie has been a Rummel cheerleader for 4 years and is currently captain. She can also be found singing at Rummel’s school masses or working the many club activities she enjoys such as student council, the pro life club, psychology club and many others. Jessie would like to dedicate this performance to Mr. Chuck Guajardo. “I love you Mr. G!”

Lauryn Gilardi (Willie - This Property is Condemned) Aside from her schooling and showstoppering as a junior at Archbishop Chapelle, and working at work, Lauryn is secretly undercover on an important mission for the FBI. Just don’t let her parents know because she hasn’t told them yet.  She would like to let them know how thankful she is to them for supporting her in pursuing her theatrical dreams. She also wants to give a shout out to Mr. G. He was her greatest inspiration and she misses him dearly. If you look closely you may remember her from previous Genesian performances and is more than delighted to be back onstage and in the classrooms with her Genesian family.

Jesse Karmazin (The Snake - The Diaries of Adam & Eve) is a sophomore at Rummel and in his first Geneisian production. Before arriving at Rummel, he played Stromboli in Pinocchio in the seventh grade at St. Josephs School in Shreveport. He has always found an interest in acting ,and looks forward to being The Snake in The Diary of Adam and Eve.

Claire Laurent (Natalia - A Marriage Proposal) a junior at Archbishop Chapelle High School, is in her fourth year as a Genesian Player. She is very excited to be cast in her fifth Genesian show, previously appearing in Grease, The Song of Bernadette, Our Town, and most recently as Donna Lucia D’Alvadorez in Charley’s Aunt. At Chapelle, Claire is involved in Student Council, True Life, and Campus Ministry, as well as being an Ambassador Officer and the President of Showstoppers. Claire would just like to add , “This show’s for you, Mr. G.”

Price Provenzano (Adam - The Diaries of Adam & Eve) is currently a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School. You may have seen him in past Genesian productions such as Jack Chesney in Charley’s Aunt, Simon Stimson in Our Town, The Song of Bernadette, and Grease. Price believes he has come a long way from his very first performance on the Genesian stage as a greaser; and he hopes to astonish and keep you in hysterics as he portrays “The Father of Humankind” in an interpretation of Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve. Price is excited to kick off The Genesian Players’ 46th Season with a night of one act plays. He would like to dedicate his performance tonight to Mr. Guajardo who taught him everything he would ever need to know about acting (or in the eyes of Mr. G.... Reacting!). Price is very thankful for the three and a half years he was able to spend under the direction of  Mr. G. and would also like to thank Mr. Keith Claverie, Chris Morgan, Trey Green, Mrs. Maureen Verderame, and Mr. Michael Begg for keeping this amazing group, The Genesian Family, together. Price commented, “I wouldn’t change my high school career for anything in the world. I have learned so much in my short period of time as a Genesian Player and can not express in words how much of an inspiration Mr. G was to me. This one’s for you!”

Donovan Retreage (Student Director) Donovan is a senior in his third and final year as a Genesian. Besides Genesians, Donovan is also a member of the track and field team; “I do the javelin throw event.” Donovan enjoys practicing boxing, jujitsu, and drawing. Donovan considers himself an above average student in school, getting on the beta honor roll every year.

Alex Schaefer (Tom - This Property is Condemned) is an eighth grader at Archbishop Rummel. Before attending Rummel, Alex attended Lakewood Elementary in Luling, and Sacred Heart of Jesus in Norco.  Alex is a member of the Archbishop Rummel Marching Band and the St. Charles Diablo’s soccer team.

Ryck Soto (Tschub - A Marriage Proposal) Ryck has been doing Genesians since he first arrived at Rummel two years ago. Now a senior, Ryck has been in many productions including Our Town and Charlie’s Aunt. Ryck is also in Rummel’s honor band and was king of the Krewe of Rhea’s Mardi Gras parade. Ryck is also noted for being the tight rope walker for he circus, maybe you recognize him as the Flying Ryckizmo. Ryck is also a local director and care taker of many zoo animals. He claims to have nothing to do with the lion fiasco of ‘97, but we can never be too sure. Ryck is also notable for being a professional Street Fighter 4 player. When not making movies and tight rope walking, Ryck is also a life guard at your local public pool. Even with his hectic and chaotic schedule, Ryck is honored to have returned to the stage under the new guidance of Mr. Claverie. Ryck is positive that this will be the best show yet. Well not a hundred percent sure.

Andrew Stiebing (Lomov - A Marriage Proposal) Andrew is a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School and this is his third year as a Genesian. A Marriage Proposal will be Andrew’s Fifth and final production with the Genesians. He has been in The Song of Bernadette, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Our Town, and Charley’s Aunt.  Along with acting Andrew enjoys watching the sunset on his neighbor’s roof with his best bud Brian.  “I want to dedicate this play to Mr. G for teaching me everything he has taught me these past three years.”
