Rebecca Bayer
(Kate) is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle High School. She has been a part
of many Genesians plays including The Desperate Hours, Grease,
The Crucible, You Can’t Take It With You, The Song of
Bernadette, and The Last Night of Ballyhoo. “Genesians have been
such a huge part of my life for the past three years. I will treasure the
knowledge and the friendships I have gained forth rest of my life.”
Stephen Cazenave
(Jack) Stephen is a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School where he
participates in Student Council and is also a member of the Genesian board.
This is his sixth and final play with the Genesians. He enjoys playing
croquet and is also an avid shoots and ladders fan.
Nina Creel
(Nora) Nina is a Cabrini senior. Brighton Beach Memoirs is her first
production with the Genesians. Previously, she has appeared in He’s
Having a Baby at Cabrini. She is a member of the Current Events Club and
the Drama Club at Cabrini.
Kaitlyn Derenbecker
(Blanche) is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle High School and is a member of
her school’s Ambassadors and is the President of Student Council. This is
Kaitlyn’s second year as a Genesian and most recently had a blast as Boo in
The Last Night of Ballyhoo! Kaitlyn is so excited to be playing a
Jewish Mother...Again!
Matthew Gambino
(Stan) is a senior at Rummel and in his second year as a Genesian.
Brighton Beach Memoirs is his first actual role. In the past, he played
a greaser in Grease. He is very excited about his role as Stanley
and is looking to make the best of it. Matt is also the captain of the
Rummel Raider Track team.
Lauryn Gilardi
(Laurie) is a freshman at Archbishop Chapelle High School. This is her
second Genesian show. She enjoys playing volleyball, softball, basketball,
and performing. She is very excited to be performing in
Brighton Beach Memoirs.
Paul Hebert
(Student Director) Paul is a Rummel senior and a third year Genesian. He has
appeared in You Can’t Take It With You, the 2006 Variety Show, and
most recently, The Song of Bernadette. Paul was also Prop Master
during The Last Night of Ballyhoo. He is also an a member of Rummel’s
Student Council.
Shay Ives
(Eugene) is a sophomore at Archbishop Rummel High School. This is his third
year as a Genesian. Along with Brighton Beach Memoirs, Shay has also
starred in Grease, The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls,
The Song of Bernadette, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and
many more. Shay is also an active member of Rummel’s Operation HeadStart
Program and Student Council. He thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy
the show.
Caroline Langlois
(Laurie) makes her sixth and final performance as a Genesian. You may have
seen her in some of her past performances as Sandy in Grease,
Bernadette in The Song of Bernadette, and LaLa in The Last Night
of Ballyhoo. She is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle. Besides Genesians,
Caroline is Student Council Vice- President, an Ambassador, and a Rummel
cheerleader. Next year, Caroline plans to attend UNO. “My two years as a
Genesian have made my high school career amazing. I have been able to be
part of a family that I’ll never forget. I love you guys!”
Caitlyn Louviere
(Blanche) is a senior at St. Mary’s Dominican High School. At Dominican, she
participates in Student Council and National Honors Society. This will be
her eighth and final production as a Rummel Genesian Player. “I know
everyone will enjoy this year’s closing production. Neil Simon is a
genius. Thanks to my family and friends for their constant support and a
special thanks to Mr. G. He made my high school years mean something. I
would not be the same without his guidance and love. Love you! Peach Out!”
Matthew Martinez
(Stanley) is a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School and is going to UNO
next year. Genesians has been a major part of Matthew’s life since 8th
grade. This is Matthew’s 13th performance and “I would like to thank Mr.
Guajardo for the endless knowledge he bestowed upon me, whether he believes
it or not.” Matthew’s fondest memory in Genesians was in his 8th grade year
when Mr. G had him dress up like a women, with balloons stuffed in her
dress, singing And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going from the Broadway
musical Dream Girls, to Vince Fabra.
Jacob Miller
(Jack) is a junior at Archbishop Rummel High School and this is his second
Genesian production. He played Sylvan “Peachy” Weil in The Last Night of
Ballyhoo. He enjoys everything about the Genesians and plans on
continuing with the Genesians into his senior year. Acting has always been a
passion of his and he hopes for a possible future in theatre.
Samantha Schott
(Nora) Sam is a St. Scholastica senior. After telling men to turn back and
forswear their foolish ways in St. Paul’s Godspell, Sam opened a
beauty shop and fixed the hair of neighborhood friends Shelby, M’Lynn, and
others in SSA’s Steel Magnolias. She was soon captured by pirates,
however, in Playmakers’ Pirates of Penzance and remained there until
she sold enough roses along the streets of London in Oliver! to buy
herself a train ticket to Atlanta, Georgia, for the big Ballyhoo dance with
her beau Joe in The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Now she wants to be on
Broadway!
Andrew Stiebing
(Eugene) is a sophomore at Archbishop Rummel High Hchool. This is Andrew’s
second production with the Genesians Players. Besides Genesians, he is also
an active member of Student Council. Andrew enjoys being in plays,
pinacolattas, and getting caught in the rain.
Emily Stone
(Kate) is a senior at St. Mary’s Dominican High School and is performing for
her first time as a Genesian. She is the President of Student Ambassadors
and a Representative in Student Council. She looks forward to ending her
senior year with her amazing new “family,” the cast of Brighton Beach
Memoirs.
