Ashleigh Alleman (Betty Rizzo) is a senior at St. Mary’s Dominican High School. At Dominican, she has performed in The Pajama Game, Leader of the Pack, In the Beginning, and The Greatest Story Never Told. She is president of the Tri -M Music Honor Society, vice -president of the drama club, a vice- representative on the student council, a member of the Liturgical Music Group, and a member of the choir. She has participated in the LMEA District Honor Chorus and the LMEA All-State Honor Chorus. Outside of school, she can be found singing with her band “Amalie.” Ashleigh wishes to thank the Genesian Players for welcoming her and all transitional students, into their community. Kayla August (Cha Cha DiGregorio) a senior at Chapelle, is a third year Genesian and has been in Picnic, The Crucible, and You Can’t Take It With You. She is involved in Matthew 25, Ambassadors, student council, ShowStoppers, retreat team, and also takes part in campus ministry. She has spent a lot of time with the Genesians and since the hurricane has realized.. “Dorthy put it right... there’s no place like home.” Kayla has admired Grease for a long time and is happy to be apart of it. She adds “I wish life were a musical... the only problem would be getting down the choreography.” Justin Baham (Chorus) is a junior at Archbishop Rummel High School. This is his first play as a Genesian, and so far, he is enjoying it tremendously. He likes acting, and he is excited about starting his career as a Genesian Player. Rebecca Bayer (Cheerleader) is a junior at Archbishop Chapelle. She played the role of “Ms. Swift” in The Desperate Hours. Rebecca also did props for The Crucible and You Can’t Take It With You. At Chapelle, Rebecca is involved in Ambassadors, psychology club, student council, Impressions, C.A.V.E., Matthew 25, and track. Amy Bordlee (Marty) is a senior at Dominican High School and is making her Genesian Players debut in Grease. At Dominican, she serves as president of student ambassadors and participates in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, the drama club, and the Debs dance team. She has also performed as a dancer in the Dominican productions of The Pajama Game, Leader of the Pack, and In the Beginning. Kati Boudreau (Jan) a senior at Chapelle, is in her fourth year of Genesians. She serves on the Genesian Executive Board. This is her 7th Genesian production. Previously, she has appeared in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Lend Me a Tenor, The Crucible, and You Can’t Take it With You. Along with Genesians, she is involved in campus ministry, Ambassadors, student council, Showstoppers, and is the mascot for Chapelle. Kati said, “When I was about ten years old, I saw Grease and told my mom that one day I really wanted to be in the show. This is definitely a dream come true!” Charlotte Brown (Jan) is a sophomore at Dominican High School and is making her debut on the Genesian stage. She and is a proud member of the choir and the drama club. She has participated in many Jefferson Performing Arts Society shows, and many school plays. She would like to thank Mr. G. for this wonderful opportunity. Stephen Cazenave (Chorus) is a junior at Archbishop Rummel High School. He is in his second year of Genesians and has loved every minute of it. You may have seen him light up the stage last year in his debut in The Desperate Hours. He certainly enjoys the company of all of his fellow Genesians. Kelly Childress (Sandy Dumbrowski) a senior at Chapelle, makes her second appearance on the Genesian stage in Grease. She was previously seen in You Can’t Take It With You. Besides Genesians, Kelly is captain of the varsity cheerleaders at Chapelle. Braedon Cohen (Kenickie) a senior at Rummel, is making his Genesian Players debut in Grease. He is also a two year lettermen on the football team at Rummel. He attended Country Day school for grades K-8 grade. Brittany Derbigny (Betty Rizzo) is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy, and is now attending the Rummel Transitional School. She is making her Genesian Players debut, and is very excited about having the privilege of playing Rizzo. She loves to sing and dance, and she knows that she will rock the stage during this production of Grease. She sends a special thanks to her family, the cast, the director, and to everyone else who helped to make this show a success. Christyn Dupre’ (Chorus) attends Mount Carmel and is usually found on the soccer field or cooking at home, until recently discovering a new talent. Christyn is excited to finally be on stage, especially in the musical Grease where she will be playing a female role, given that her debut role was a male in the musical Gypsy. Christyn enjoys cooking, eating, playing sports, and occasionally, singing in the shower. David Dupuy (Vince Fontaine) is a junior at Archbishop Rummel and Grease marks his debut as a Genesian. David plays guitar at Rummel masses and is a member of the baseball team. Taylor Ehret (Sonny LaTierri) is a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School. He attended grammar school at St. Benilde. In addition to being in Grease, he is in campus ministry and Big Brothers. This is the first Genesian production he has ever been in. He thanks you for coming out and hopes you enjoy the show. John Erwin (Eugene Florczyk) is currently a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School. This is his first year with the Genesian Players and is very excited to have a chance to perform in a play. It is the first play he has ever done and is sure he will have a great time doing it. Molly France (Cha Cha DiGregorio) a senior at Dominican, now at the Archbishop Rummel Transition school, is thrilled to be appearing here tonight! At DHS, she has previously appeared in The Pajama Game, Leader of the Pack, In the Beginning, and The Greatest Story Never Told. She is a student and assistant teacher at Metropolitan Dance Theatre of New Orleans. At DHS, she is active in the Drama Club, National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, and is a member of the Retreat Team. Matt Gambino (Chorus) is a junior at Archbishop Rummel High School. This is his first year as a Genesian and he is very excited about performing. He has also participated in wrestling and is a member of the track team. Jonathan Howell (Roger) is a senior at Rummel and is in his second year as a Genesian. He was in last year’s The Crucible and You Can’t Take It With You. Jonathan says,” my favorite things about Genesians are entertaining audiences and all the friends I have made.” Andy Hughes (Eugene Florczyk) is a senior at Rummel and is in his fourth year of Genesians. Grease is his seventh production with the organization. His past shows include You Can’t Take It With You, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Desperate Hours. He is the current treasurer of the student council executive board. His favorite aspect of being a Genesian is learning to adapt himself to a variety of roles. Max Hughes (Danny Zuko) is a senior at Rummel High School and is currently serving as the Genesian Board President. Max has been a Genesian for four years and has been involved with eight plays including Forum, Mousetrap, The Crucible, and You Can’t Take It With You. This is Max’s first leading role and he is very thankful for this opportunity. At Rummel, Max is also involved in student council, Big Brothers, Operation HeadStart, and Campus Ministry. Max would like to thank everyone who comes to see this show because they are supporting a fantastic organization Shay Ives (Sonny LaTierri) is a freshman at Archbishop Rummel High School and this is his first year in Genesians. He is also a member of Rummel’s Student Council. He has been in several other plays before this one including The Sound of Music and Willy Wonka and the Charlie Factory. He thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show. Caroline Langlois (Sandy Dumbrowski) is a junior at Archbishop Chapelle High School. She is making her debut performance as a Genesian player in Grease. Along with Genesians, Caroline is the junior class president of the student council, an ambassador, and a Rummel cheerleader. Claire Laurent (Pink Lady) an 8th grader at Archbishop Chapelle High School, is a first year Genesian. She is involved in Jr. Beta Club, student council, photography club, and Impressions. This is her first performance with Genesians and she is looking forward to many more. Caitlyn Louviere (Frenchy) is a junior at Dominican, and this is her fourth Genesian production. She has been in The Crucible, The Desperate Hours, and You Can’t Take It With You. She serves as a member of Dominican’s student council and is on the Genesian Board. She looks forward to kicking off the school year with the musical Grease. James Luwisch (Chorus) is a junior at Archbishop Rummel High School. At Rummel, he is involved with student council. His role in Grease is his debut performance and cherishes the new friendships he has made as a part of this cast. Bill Mader (Johnny Casino/ Teen Angel) is a senior at Rummel and Grease will be Bill’s debut production with the Genesian Players. Along with Genesians, he is involved with campus ministry and Eucharistic ministers. Henry Marsh (Vince Fontaine) is currently a senior at Rummel. This is his debut performance. Henry has been a wrestler for six years and he is also a rugby player. Henry would like to thank his parents and family for all their loving support. Matthew Martinez (Doody) a junior, has been involved with Genesians for four years and Grease marks his ninth production with the organization. Last year he was in The Desperate Hours, The Crucible, and You Can’t Take It With You. He enjoys watching 1960’s horror films and playing his harmonica. Kenny Mellor (Doody) is a senior in his fifth year as a Genesian. He has been in, or assisted with, many productions. He has been seen in Teahouse of the August Moon, The Wizard of Oz, and you may recognize him as the bald Mr. DePinna from You Can’t Take It With You. Kenny is a member of this years Genesian board, an executive member of student council, a Big Brother, and a campus minister. P.C.F. 10/31/87-12/29/04 R.I.P. Justin Mendoza (Kenickie) is a senior at Archbishop Rummel participating in his 5th year with the Genesian Players. Past plays include The Wizard of Oz, The Mousetrap, and The Crucible. His other activities include student council, campus ministry, Operation HeadStart, and Big Brothers. Katie Murphy (Pink Lady) is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy. She is currently attending Archbishop Rummel Transitional School. At Mount Carmel, she is involved in soccer, Governor’s Program on Abstinence (president), Teens For Life, Christian Life Community, campus ministry (core team), Christian Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans, and Technology Honors Society. This is Katie’s theatrical debut. Although this is her first Genesian play, she feels right at home and thanks all the people involved in the Genesian Players that made her feel welcome. Kaeli Nicols (Frenchy) is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy and is thrilled to be performing in her second production as a Genesian Player. She was in last year’s production of You Can’t Take it With You and is very excited to be playing Frenchy in Grease. At Mt. Carmel, she is an active member of WMCA, Quiz Bowl, Literary Club and Celebration. She is also the captain of MCA’s speech and debate team. Price Provenzano (Chorus) is a freshmen at Archbishop Rummel High School. He is in student council and campus ministry. This is Price’s debut with the Genesian Players. Even though he’s new to Genesians, he still feels a part of this family. Claire Ravannack (Cheerleader) is a sophomore at Archbishop Chapelle High School. She is making her debut in the Genesian players, singing in the chorus of Grease. She is a member of Chapelle’s varsity cheerleading team. Claire hopes to be in Genesians until she graduates high school. Matthew Rigdon (Chorus) is a sophomore at Rummel. He is a second year Genesian and this is his fourth production. Previous productions include The Crucible, The Desperate Hours and You Can’t Take It With You. Genesians is, by far, his favorite organization. Genevieve Schluter (Patty Simcox) is a junior at Archbishop Chapelle where she is involved in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Pro-Life Club, Ambassadors, and National Art Honor Society. She has worked on three previous Genesian plays and appeared in The Crucible. Genevieve’s favorite things about Genesians are meeting new people and learning about theater. Katherine Schluter (Patty Simcox) is a ninth grader at Chapelle and is making her third performance on the Genesian stage in Grease. As an eighth grader, Kat acted in The Desperate House and The Crucible. At Chapelle, she is involved in Impressions, student council, Pro-Life Club, and True Love Waits. Kat is excited about being in her second year with Genesians, and she is pleased to be with so many great people. Laura Schulze (Pink Lady/ Lights) is a senior at Chapelle. This is her fourth year in Genesians. She has performed in Picnic, The Crucible, and The Desperate Hours. She has worked in the Tech Crew for Lend Me a Tenor, The Mousetrap, and You Can’t Take It With You. She is also very involved at Chapelle. Next year, Laura plans on attending LSU. When asked about Genesians, Laura replies, “I love being a Genesian! We get to learn things we don’t normally learn in school, but we learn as a family, and it is the most wonderful experience! I love my Genesians!” Jordan Shakespeare (Roger) is a junior at Brother Martin High School. He is currently a transition student at Archbishop Rummel. Jordan is involved with the theatre program at Brother Martin (Dionysians) and the Brother Martin Band. This is his Genesian debut. Valerie Stiebing (Marty) is a senior at Chapelle. Although she has been on stage before, this is her first Genesian production. Valerie is an officer in the Chorale, and a member of Showstoppers, the retreat team, and student council. She is very excited to be a part of the Genesian Players. She notes, “This is has been an awesome experience; one that I will never forget.” Mary Truxillo (Cheerleader) is a junior at St. Mary’s Dominican High School. At Dominican, Mary is a cheerleader and a member of National Honor Society. She was a cast member in the Dominican production of Leader of the Pack and In the Beginning. Andrew Vogel (Danny Zuko) is a senior at Rummel and is performing in his third production on the Genesian stage. He is a member of the National Honor Society, student council and Operation HeadStart. In the past, he has been a member of the Raider track and cross country teams. Genesians has not only shown him how to act, but more importantly, the value of dedication, responsibility, and respect. Katherine Williams (Ms. Lynch/ Chorus) is finishing up her senior year as a home schooled student. She plans on attending LSU in the spring. She was in The Crucible, and helped out with The Desperate Hours and You Can’t Take It With You. She enjoyed her two years as a Genesian and will treasure the learning experience she has gained from this place that she now calls home! Emily Dardis (Student Director) is a junior at Archbishop Chapelle High School, and this is her third year in Genesians. Other than Genesians, Emily is also a member of Ambassadors and retreat team. Besides being student director, Emily has also worked props and ushered for many different plays. Christina Koffskey (Prop Master) is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle. She is a member of NHS, NAHS, Mu Alpha Theta, and campus ministry. She is a first year Genesian, and when asked about the play she said, “Grease is one of my all time favorites, and I am so excited to be working on the play.” |
