Kayla August (Tituba)
Kayla won kudos when he appeared as Miss Potts in last season’s
Picnic. Her activities at Chapelle, where she is a junior are
Matthew 25, Retreat Team, Ambassadors, Pro-Life, True Love Waits,
Showstoppers, Student Council, and Thalians. “I am happen to be a
Genesian. I’ve enjoyed being a little chocolate in the vanilla mix!
Also, I thank my parents and family for all the support they have given
my every endeavor.”
Lloyd “Bear” Badeaux
(Thomas Putnam) Bear is his third year as a Genesian
Player. Shows in which he performed include Forum and most
recently in Mousetrap. Bear is currently not active any
other organizations besides Genesians. He would prefer to concentrate on
his studies as well as his acting. He plans to attend college in
California and pursue a career in acting and screen writing. Bear says,
„Genesians has been the greatest experience of my life and finally gives
me a reason to look forward to school everyday. I invite everyone to
come join the Genesian family and be a part of the greatest acting
organization in the world.”
Kati Boudreau
(Rebecca Nurse) A third year Genesian Player, Kati is a
Chapelle junior. She was in Christmas Show 2002,
Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Lend Me A Tenor.
Besides Genesians, she is involved in Retreat Team,
Ambassadors, Student Council, Yearbook Staff, and Pro-life Club. “I have
truly realized that Genesians is not only a club but one big happy
family and I absolutely love everyone!”
Emily Brauninger
(Mercy Lewis) a Mount Carmel Academy eighth grader, Emily
is making her Genesian debut in The Crucible. She has
attended Genesian productions her entire life and could not wait to be a
member. Emily
has been involved in theater before joining to the Genesians. She is
looking forward to many more Genesian experiences.
Ross Britz
(Danforth) The only five year member of the Genesians this
year, Ross is a member of the Genesian Executive Board. A senior, Ross
enjoys the Genesians more than any other activity. His other Rummel
activities include Big Brothers, Track and Field, Operation Head Start,
and Student Council. Genesians has been a very meaningful experience
for Ross and he is extremely grateful for having been with
it and Mr. Guajardo for so long. This is Ross‚ advice to up and coming
Genesians, “Listen to Mr. G. Even though he sounds crazy at times, he
knows what he’s talking about.”
Jude Brunet (Francis Nurse)
A senior, Jude is performing in his first Genesian play. He is a member
of the Key Club. “I really like Genesians because it is fun and the
people are great.”
Adrienne Burns
(Mary Warren) Adrienne is appearing in her first Genesian
production. An Archbishop Chapelle High School junior, she is involved
with Impressions, Thalians, Ambassadors, Quiz Bowl, Matthew 25, Key
Club, Psychology Club, French Club, Kaleidoscope, Volleyball
Intramurals, Gifted and Talented, and National Honor Society.
Paul Fleming
(Giles Corey) Paul is a junior in his fourth year in the
Genesian Players. Previous plays have been A Funny Thing Happened
on the Way To The Forum, Mousetrap, and 4 in 1 Act Plays.
Paul’s other activities include Track, Student Council and rooting for
his homeboys at the Rummel football games.
Melissa Failla
(Student Director) A senior at Cabrini High School,
Melissa is a first year Genesian. At Cabrini, Melissa is president of
Ambassadors and the Computer Club. She is a member of SADA, NHS, and
Retreat Team. She is also a Eucharistic Minister. “I’m very excited to
have been given this position and cannot wait to be part of many more
Genesian productions.”
Hailey Fox (Mercy Lewis)
Hailey is a senior at Archbishop Chapelle High School. This is her debut
performance. Her other school activities include the Photo Manager for
the Yearbook, Student Council, Soccer Team, Bowling team, and Track and
Field. Haley doesn’t know what she’s going to major in at college, but
she plans to go to Tulane.
Jonathan Howell (Francis Nurse)
A junior, Jonathan is making his first appearance on the Genesian
stage. He is a member of the track team.
Andy Hughes (Ezekiel Cheever)
Currently in his third year as a Genesian, Andy is a junior. He
appeared in Genesian Christmas 2002 and 2003
and his debut was in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Forum. At Rummel, he is a member of the Humanities Class,
Student Council, and Campus Ministry. Andy says, “The most memorable
moment I have had in Genesians was playing the cutest eunuch in all of
ancient Rome.”
Max Hughes (Reverend Hale) Max is
a Rummel junior and is in his third year as a Genesian. Max has
previously been seen in Forum and Mousetrap.
Other than Genesians, Max is also involved in Latin Club. “I’ve had the
time of my life being involved with Genesians and would not trade this
experience for anything in the world.”
Ashleigh Keelen (Rebecca Nurse)
Making her debut on the Genesian stage, Ashleigh is a Chapelle senior.
Her activities at Chapelle are Varsity Soccer Team (captain), Historian
of Mu Alpha Theta, Key Club, Mission Club, and Thalians. “Genesians has
been a fun way of getting to meet new people and furthering my knowledge
of theater arts.”
Caitlyn Louviere (Abigail)
Caitlyn is a sophomore Dominican High School and The Crucible
is her debut production with the Genesians. Caitlyn serves on
Dominican‚s Student Council Board as a homeroom representative.
“Genesians serves as a wonderful environment with loving, and not to
mention, talented, people. There’s no other club like it, and I enjoy
every moment of it.”
Matthew Martinez (Ezekiel Cheever)
Matthew is a Rummel sophomore and has been in Genesians since his eighth
grade. His first play was The Wizard of Oz, He was also in
Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Matthew
lists as one of his Genesian moments making the snowfall in
Mousetrap. “I love being part of Genesians, and hope to be in
the club until I graduate.”
Kenny Mellor (Marshal Herrick)
Kenny is a junior this year and it is in his fourth year as a Genesian
Player. He has helped or been in many plays with the players and a few
of them are Teahouse of the August Moon, The Wizard of Oz,
and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Some
of the other activities that he is involved in are Student Council,
Campus Ministry, and Humanities. Kenny says, “I am looking forward to
working on this play because there are a lot of new comers in the cast
and I hope to get to know them all well. I am also looking forward to
working with the cast members I’ve worked with before because they are
all great actors and actresses as well as good people to be around.”
Justin Mendoza (Reverend Hale)
A junior in this fourth Genesian year, Justin has appeared in
Wizard of Oz, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for
his role last season in the Mousetrap. His other
Rummel activities include Student Council and Campus Ministry. “The
Genesian Experience means I get to have a completely different identity
for a few hours a night and don‚t have to think about anything else.”
Nicholas Michler (John Proctor)
Making his Genesian debut, Nicholas is a senior. Other Rummel
activities that Nicholas is involved in are Campus Ministry,
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and S.T.U.D.S. His plans are
to go to LSU or Steubenville, Ohio for college.
Ashley Philips (Elizabeth Proctor)
Ashley is a second year Genesian appearing in her second production. A
senior at St. Mary‚s Dominican High School, Ashley is a member of the
Genesian Players Executive Board. At Dominican she is involved in
Student Council, CLC. and Student Ambassadors. “I cherish the many
wonderful friends I have met in Genesians and appreciate all I have
learned from them and the moderators of the organization.”
Joey Pistorius (Marshal Herrick)
“I have seen many Genesian productions and have been interested in
theater since I was in productions at St. Pius X.” Joey is a sophomore
and The Crucible is his first Genesian play.
Christian Ramirez (Thomas
Putnam) Christian Ramirez is a senior and this is his debut
performance as a Genesian. He is involved in Campus Ministry, Big
Brothers, Choir, National Honor Society, Student Council and much more.
His future plans are to possibly be a religion teacher at Rummel or at
Chapelle, God willing. He is thinking about going to Franciscan
University of Steubenville or Loyola University. “This was a great
experience for me and it will not be my last, hopefully.”
Natalie Retreage (Susanna Walcott)
Natalie Retreage is a senior at Chapelle. This is her second year in
Genesians and her second Genesian performance. She was previously in the
play The Mousetrap. “I enjoy being a Genesian and am
excited about the new year and opportunities that will come with it.”
Matthew Rigdon (Hopkins)
Matthew is a first year Genesian and a freshman at Rummel. Hopkins is
his debut role on the Genesian stage. His future plans are torn
between being a vet or an actor.
Lisa Roussel (Susanna Walcott)
A member of the Genesian Players Executive Board, Lisa is a Chapelle
senior. Her Chapelle activities include Student Council, Eucharistic
Ministers, and the Retreat Team. Lisa made her debut last year in
Lend Me a Tenor. Lisa‚s backstage responsibilities were in
Picnic, Mousetrap, and the alumni production of
Rumors. “Genesians has become my favorite high school memory
and I will miss it when I attend LSU next school year.”
Genevieve Schluter (Betty Parris)
A sophomore at Chapelle High School, Genevieve is making her debut
performance with the Genesian Players. Previously she has been in
Bye Bye Birdie, Annie Get Your Gun, and
Meet Me in St. Louis. At Chapelle, she is involved with
Ambassadors, Impressions, True Love Waits, Pro-Life, Retreat Team, and
Matthew 25. “I am happy to be a part of the cast, and look forward to
the rest of the season with Genesians.”
Katherine Schluter (Betty
Parris) is an eighth grader at Chapelle High School, and this is
her first performance with the Genesian Players. She has been in other
plays such as Bye Bye Birdie, Annie Get Your Gun,
and Meet Me in St. Louis. This year, Katherine will be in
Student Council, Impressions, and she will be a guide for open house and
Spend-the-Day. “I love working with the Genesian Players, and hope to be
in many more shows with them.”
Laura Schulze (Sarah Good) is
a junior at Archbishop Chapelle. This is her third year in Genesians. In
the past, she has acted in The Wizard of Oz and
Picnic. She also has worked behind the scenes in Lend Me a
Tenor and Mousetrap. At Chapelle, she is currently
involved in Retreat Team, Ambassadors, C.A.V.E., True Love Waits, and
French Club. “I hope that this Genesian year will be as fun as the past
few years.”
Josh Stover (Rev. Parris) A
senior, Josh has plans to attend University of Southern California or
New York University. Crucible is Josh’s debut performance. Josh
is in the Philosophy Club, Campus Ministry. His favorite past time is
writing and movies. It helps that he is employed at AMC.
Andrew Vogel (Hathorne)
Currently a junior, The Crucible is Andrew’s debut
performance with the Genesians. Andrew is also involved in Student
Council, Track, NHS, and cross-country for the two years prior to this
school year.
Kathryn Williams (Mrs. Ann Putnam)
is being home schooled and is in the eleventh grade. This is her
debut performance as a Genesian and as an actress. “I am looking forward
to the social and learning experiences that will come from being this
club.” |
